What it is

Seattle Pottery Supply is a Seattle, Washington ceramics supply manufacturer and retail / online shop that sells its own moist and dry clay bodies (stoneware, porcelain, raku, paperclay, and more), Laguna and other branded clays, Seattle Pottery Supply and multi-brand glazes, kilns, pottery wheels, tools, raw materials, and kiln firing services through its official Shopify shop and public retail storefront. The About Us page states the company has been in business since 1975 (founded by Jim and Sue Lunz in March 1975; custom clay/glaze formulation and related services added 1981; purchased by new ownership in August 2019). Homepage marketing: premier producer of clay, glaze, and kilns for 50 years. It is not a membership guild. This listing treats Seattle Pottery Supply as a supply house with an official shop URL, not as a teaching studio.

Who it’s for

Studio potters, schools, production shops, hobbyists, and local makers who need SPS or Laguna moist clay blocks/cubes, glazes/tools/equipment, kiln purchases or repair, online shipping, Hanford Street retail pickup, or drop-off oxidized kiln firing services. This is a supply house with an official shop URL, not a guild membership hall.

Why it’s listed

This is a first-party supplier operation with a printed retail street address, published retail and warehouse hours, an official online shop (seattlepotterysupply.com) with on-page moist-clay 12 lb cube / 25 lb block / 50 lb dry prices, firing-service minimums, and first-party About / Firing Services pages — not a scraped directory card and not an Amazon storefront.
