Continental Clay Company

Category: Supplier Also called: Continental Clay; Continental Clay Co.; Continental Clay Bodies Last checked: 2026-09-08

What it is

Continental Clay Company is a family-owned clay manufacturer and ceramics supply house that sells its own moist and dry clay bodies, glazes, raw materials, kilns, pottery wheels, tools, and classroom equipment through its official online shop and warehouse retail locations in Minneapolis and Denver. The Clay Info page says the company stocks over 26 premium ready-to-use pottery clays plus custom mixes, and hand-blends and bags over four million pounds of clay and glaze per year for national distribution. The Quality Statement describes over 65,000 square feet dedicated to clay mixing, glaze production, R&D, and a retail store/gallery. It is not a teaching studio and not a membership guild.

Who it’s for

Studio potters, schools, production shops, and hobbyists who need Continental moist clay bodies, equipment (Amaco/Brent, Skutt, L&L, and others), glazes, or materials shipped nationally or picked up curbside/will-call at the Minneapolis or Denver warehouses. This is a manufacturer and supply house with an official shop URL, not a drop-in class studio.

Why it’s listed

This is a first-party supplier operation with printed warehouse street addresses, regular hours, curbside pick-up rules, an official online shop with on-page moist-clay bag prices and equipment list/sale prices, and clear order-processing rules — not a scraped directory card and not an Amazon storefront.
