What it is

Krueger Pottery Supply is a ceramic supply house in Brentwood, Missouri (St. Louis area). The History page says Krueger Pottery Inc. was founded by Dennis Krueger in 1988 as a production pottery and grew into “the largest source for supplies, equipment and materials in the St. Louis area”; in March 2008 longtime employees Aimee & Ryan took over and renamed it Krueger Pottery Supply, and in December 2019 it moved from Webster Groves to a larger Brentwood facility. The homepage advertises an 18,000 square foot warehouse and retail showroom open to the public six days a week. The official Shopify shop (kruegerpottery.com) sells moist clay (KPS house clay plus Aardvark, Kansas Clay, KyMudworks, Laguna), raw materials, glazes, kilns, kiln furniture, wheels, equipment, tools, parts, and bisque. It is not a membership guild and not primarily a teaching studio.

Who it’s for

St. Louis–region and ship-to studio potters, schools, and teachers who want moist clay, glazes, and kilns/wheels with printed online prices, local truck delivery, firing services, or kiln/wheel repair. Art teachers get 10% off tools, supplies & equipment; high school/university students with valid ID get 10% on thousands of items (clay and raw materials discounted by quantity are excluded).

Why it’s listed

Notes

• Category is Supplier: moist clay, glazes, kilns, wheels, equipment, and parts via kruegerpottery.com and the Brentwood showroom. Firing services and repair are ancillary. The site title mentions “Pottery Classes” and History says customers could “take a class,” but no class page or class schedule was linked in the shop navigation at check — category stays Supplier.
• First Missouri supplier and first St. Louis listing on Clay Plaza. Distinct from already-listed Belger Crane Yard Studios (Kansas City, MO studio). Krueger resells clay from already-listed suppliers Aardvark Clay, Laguna Clay Company, Kentucky Mudworks, and Bracker’s Good Earth Clays (raku kilns) — it is a separate retailer, not one of those manufacturers. Away from Mon SC/CO/AZ, Fri OR/PA/FL, and Thu TX/MI/MN geos. Keep separate from Lapidary / Mahjong / Bee / Bonsai directories.
• Repair rate conflict on the Equipment Repair page: “Repair Rates: $90/Hour including drive time” vs. a later note that drive and estimation time is billed at “our normal repair rate of $75 per hour.” Cite both as printed; confirm by phone.
• Collection cards print “From” prices (lowest variant); per-variant prices were confirmed only for the two KPS earthenware products cited.
• Product URLs on www. return 301 to kruegerpottery.com; cite the apex URLs above.
• Prices were transcribed from official pages checked on 2026-10-06 and may change.
• Not affiliated with Clay Plaza.
• No Clay Plaza contact, purchase, booking, or publication action was taken.
• First-party wordmark saved beside this listing as krueger-pottery-supply.png (main_logo_250px from kruegerpottery.com Shopify CDN, 250 × 86).
